An organisation outpacing its website

The Tindall Foundation is a New Zealand-based philanthropic organisation with over 25 years of history supporting communities, families, and environmental initiatives.

Their work spans a wide range of donation programmes, community partnerships, and impact-driven projects. As the organisation evolved, so too did the complexity of the information they needed to communicate, particularly around eligibility, donation types, and application pathways.

The existing website no longer reflected the clarity, accessibility, or flexibility required to effectively serve their audiences.

The primary goal was to redesign the website to better support the Foundation’s key users: community organisations and individuals seeking donations. Their site needed to make it easy for users to quickly understand eligibility and next steps.

Rebuilt around user needs

NZ Digital partnered with The Tindall Foundation to restructure the website from the ground up, focusing on clarity, usability, and flexibility.

The site was simplified into four key silos: Founding Story, Our Team, Eligibility & Donations, and Community Outcomes, designed around user intent to help visitors quickly assess eligibility.

Complex pathways were streamlined through clear structure, intuitive navigation, and user-focused language, including shifting from “funding” to “donations.”

Built on WordPress, the site provides a flexible, scalable CMS for easy content management and future growth.
