This was the day Doc Brown, Marty McFly, and Jennifer Parker arrive in the future from 1985 in the DeLorean time machine at exactly 4:29pm. With the passing of this iconic date and a huge amount of hype on social media we thought we’d share with you the 3 best websites created to mark it.
Back to the Future Part II was released by Universal Pictures on November 22, 1989. The film grossed over $331 million worldwide, making it the third-highest-grossing film of 1989.
On October 21, 1985, Dr. Emmett “Doc” Brown arrives in his flying time machine and persuades Marty McFly and his girlfriend, Jennifer Parker, to come back to the future with him to help their future children. Biff Tannen witnesses their departure. They arrive on October 21, 2015, where Doc electronically knocks out Jennifer and leaves her asleep in an alley, explaining that she should not have too much knowledge of future events.
This is my favorite of the 3. It focuses on what the movie got right about 2015 (the future) and what has not happened yet. The use of technology and how it reflects on society today is almost spot on.
This website built for Zuto as a promotional tool asks visitors “Which car would you choose for a trip through time?” then allows you to scroll through the selections, vote and share to your social media.
